Janai Phibbs

Janai Phibbs has a diverse work experience in the entertainment industry, starting with their current role as an Associate Art Director at THG since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. Experience Designer at THG from October 2018 to November 2022. Janai also has experience as a Show Set Designer at Themespace since January 2017, working with clients including Universal Creative, The Bezark Company, Legacy American Scenic, and JRA. Before that, they served as an Associate Designer at The Walt Disney Studios Special Events from September 2015 to June 2017. Additionally, they worked at The Broad Stage as part of the production team from February 2010 to April 2015, handling prop and set sourcing, set decoration, and assisting in hospitality and stage management for high-profile artists. Furthermore, they had a role in the Show Set Department at Thinkwell Group, where they performed CAD drafting, 3D modeling, and art direction for attractions such as Warners Brother: Abu Dhabi and Monkey Kingdom: China. Janai also worked as a Freelance Art Director at Art & Design for the Entertainment Industry from 2011 to 2015, and as an Art Department Assistant at The Walt Disney Company and a Film Intern to Set Decorator Don Diers on "HOP" at Universal Pictures in 2011.

Janai Phibbs has a Bachelor's Degree in Set & Exhibit Design from The Art Institutes.
