Daniel Urbano

Daniel Urbano is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in research and trading technology. Currently employed at Thiel Capital since January 2013, Daniel has contributed to the creation of an analytics data platform, managed vendor relationships, and reorganized risk management systems to enhance stability. Previous roles include software engineering at Clarium Capital Management, where Daniel migrated with the firm to Thiel Macro, and as the first financial product developer at Shareholder Representative Services, where responsibilities ranged from building accounting operations to managing substantial accounts. Daniel's earlier career includes positions such as project lead at The TamGroup and senior software engineer at The Grow Network/McGraw-Hill Education. Academically, Daniel holds a BA in Physics and Economics from Middlebury College, an MBA in Finance, and a Master of Science in Finance, both from Saint Mary's College of California.
