Richard T. Orr is the current Executive Director of Communications & Marketing at Thiel College. Prior to their current position, Orr was Co-Founder and Vice President Public Relations of Marcademy, Inc. from March 2013 to January 2015. Marcademy was a start-up Internet marketing school that closed its doors in 2015. Before their time at Marcademy, Orr worked as the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications for AT&T from February 2013 to January 2017. In this role, they were responsible for managing local advertising initiatives for the Mobility Advertising and Marketing Communications organization. Orr also has experience working in higher education, having served as the Associate Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications for Ashworth College from September 2007 to February 2013.
Richard T. Orr's educational career includes a BS in Journalism from Butler University, an MBA in Marketing from Oglethorpe University, and certification from the Lutheran Education Conference in North America in the LECNA Fellows Leadership Program. Richard also has certification from Rutgers University in Influencer Marketing Strategy Certification, Distance Education and Training Council in Higher Education Accreditation Standards, Distance Education and Training Council in Higher Education Business Standards, and Direct Marketing Association in DMA Certified Marketing Professional (DCMP).
