Michael Cooper

Michael Cooper serves as Group General Counsel at CIMIC Group Limited, a prominent diversified contractor, since July 2015. In this dual role, Michael oversees legal affairs, risk, governance, compliance, and company secretarial functions for the organization, which has a rich history dating back to 1899 and employs approximately 30,000 people. Michael also holds the position of Alternate Director on the boards of Thiess Group Holdings and Ventia Services Group Limited, representing CIMIC Group Limited. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright and Corrs Chambers Westgarth, as well as a lawyer at Minter Ellison. Michael's educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce from UNSW and a Master of Law and Legal Practice from the University of Technology Sydney.
