Jens Eliasson has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jens is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at ThingWave AB since February 2016. Jens also holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Eistec AB since June 2018. At Luleå University of Technology, they worked as an Associate Professor from June 2014 to December 2018, actively engaging in research in fields such as Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber-physical Systems (CPS). Jens was a Guest Researcher at Monash University from November 2013 to January 2014. Prior to that, they were an Assistant Professor at Luleå University of Technology from May 2008 to 2014, focusing on research in Internet-connected embedded systems (IoT). Jens also had a brief stint as a Guest Researcher at Monash University in October and November 2005. Jens started their career as a Consultant in Medical Embedded Systems at LTU in September 2003, where they were involved in developing embedded systems for patient monitoring.
Jens Eliasson has a strong education background in the field of Industrial Electronics and Computer Science and Engineering. Jens obtained their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Luleå University of Technology, completing their studies from 1998 to 2006. Jens went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Industrial Electronics at the same university, graduating in 2008. Later, Jens Eliasson further enhanced their expertise in Industrial Electronics by completing a Docent degree at Luleå University of Technology from 2012 to 2014.

ThingWave AB
ThingWave AB is a spin-off company from Luleå University of Technology. ThingWave is focused on products and services for the Industrial Internet of Things. After Associate Professor Jens Eliasson and Pablo Punal Pereira won IPSO Challange in Silicon Valley 2015, ThingWave was started to commercialize the research results. Industrial IoT and Data Analysis are the pillars of ThingWave, as the company grows, we have been able to apply these technologies into four (4) different areas: Mining, Internet of Things, Advanced Analytics and Operational Excellence. We have used our competences to create small devices with a different set of communication technologies like Mesh, WiFi, 5G, etc. To measure all kind of physical properties and transfer that information to our gateways and cloud. With the use of state-of-the-art analytics and visualization, ThingWave can give to the customer tools to solve their problems, and predict problems before they happen. Like ground movements on mining, production chains issues for the Industry, etc. Improving safety, maintenance, and production. We work hand in hand with the clients, doing the integration of our solutions completely transparent and easy to use. We offer a variety of interfaces, like web-based, mobile phone app, or data forwarding to any other cloud in place; Always with the highest security level.
