Marshall Theyel

Senior Mechanical Engineer at THINK Surgical

Marshall Theyel has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering field since 2009. In 2009, they were a Research Assistant at Green Visions. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Photonics Research Intern at the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge, where they completed 3D AutoCAD and Solidworks drawings for industrial laser projects and assisted with the set-up and use of laboratory equipment. In 2012, they were an Additive Manufacturing Research Intern at the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge, where they conducted an independent study of additive manufacturing materials and techniques with manufacturing applications, completed a study report and made a final presentation to faculty and graduate students on their study findings, and participated in weekly research seminars with faculty and graduate students. From 2013 to 2014, they were an Analyst and Programmer at Green Visions. In 2014, they were an Engineering Intern at the US Navy. In 2015, they were a Design Engineering Intern at Compass Product Design. From 2016 to present, they have been a Senior Mechanical Engineer, a Mechanical Engineer, and a Mechanical Engineering Intern at THINK Surgical.

Marshall Theyel obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University in 2012-2016. Marshall then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical Design Analysis from Santa Clara University, which they completed in 2016-2017.
