Miriam Garcia Avelar

Miriam Garcia Avelar is currently a Cashier at Victor Valley Elementary School District and a Program Leader for Kinder Gap and 1st graders at Think Together, where engagement cycles and physical activities enrich academic experiences. Prior experience includes serving as a Building Common Ground Facilitator at the University of California, Riverside, where community-building activities and diversity discussions supported new student orientation. Additional roles at the university included participation in the HAAC Education Abroad Committee to allocate funds for study abroad initiatives, working as a Front Desk Office Assistant to provide customer support, and serving as an Academic Peer Mentor to enhance students' academic performance. Miriam holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of California, Riverside, obtained in 2023, and graduated from Hesperia High School in 2019.
