Carlos Oregon's work experience begins in 1995 when they served in the United States Air Force as an Active Duty member until 2005. Following this, they joined PLANNET Consulting in 2005 as a Project Manager and Consultant, where they managed various projects, including the migration of applications for the Data Center of Toyota Financial Services and the relocation of the HQ Data Center for Herbalife Inc. From 2008 to 2009, Carlos worked at Wet Design as a Program Manager. In 2011, they joined the United States Department of Defense as a USAF Reservist. Carlos later became a VP of Operations and Principal Consultant at Thinkbox Technology Group from 2011 to 2020. During this time, they also worked as an Interim CIO for the City of Plano, TX, managing the transformation of the city's information technology and leading a team of 60 members with a budget of $25 million. In 2019, Carlos became an Advisor at AdvisoryCloud until 2020. Most recently, they have held roles as President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as Chief Executive Officer at Thinkbox Technology Group.

Carlos Oregon's education history includes several degrees and certificates. In 1996 to 2000, they attended the Community College of the Air Force, obtaining an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Avionics Systems Technology. From 1998 to 2001, they also earned another AS degree from the same institution, this time in Communications Applications Technology.

In 2004 to 2005, Carlos pursued a Network System Administration Certificate at CEI. Then, in 2006 to 2008, they attended the University of Phoenix and received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Organizational Security and Management, focusing on International Relations and Affairs, Disaster Response, and Government/Business Security Policies.

Continuing their education, Carlos pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Project Management at the Florida Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012.

Over the years, Carlos also obtained several additional certifications. In 2007, they completed the ASIS Facility Security Design Certificate, specializing in Facility Security Design. Moreover, they received a certificate in SCADA Security Training from the INFOSEC Institute, although the specific dates are not provided.

Most recently, in 2022, Carlos attended the Columbia Business School and earned a Mergers and Acquisitions Executive Certificate.
