Julien Cataford

Julien Cataford has extensive experience in various IT roles. Julien is currently working as a Project Manager at Thinkmax since October 2022. Before that, they worked as a Corporate IT Director at Sherweb from March 2021 to August 2022, where they managed the company's helpdesk, IT infrastructure, and security/compliance. Julien also handled budget planning and management for the department.

Prior to Sherweb, Julien served as an IT Director at Solotech Inc. from April 2018 to March 2021. During their tenure, they successfully implemented a new ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, migrated to Exchange 365, and upgraded the company's IT infrastructure. Julien was also responsible for managing a high-performing IT service center team and launching a new helpdesk platform.

Julien's earlier experience includes working as an IT Project Manager and IT Director at Boiseries Raymond from February 2010 to January 2017. In these roles, they provided IT leadership and support for the company's six branches/factories. Julien also played a key role in planning, developing, and maintaining the company's network infrastructure, as well as managing their ERP system, Epicor/Industria.

Before joining Boiseries Raymond, Julien worked as a Project Manager and IT Technician Consultant. Julien gained experience in installing hardware, peripheral devices, network cabling, and configuring and maintaining workstations. Additionally, they had a brief stint as a Corporate Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Intern at Groupe TDL - Tim Hortons and a Representative at RBC.

Julien's career started as an Auxiliary Teacher for computer courses at Académie Ste-Thérèse, where they taught until 2000.

Julien Cataford's education history includes various academic qualifications and certifications. In 2000, they completed their Diplôme d’études collégiales in Baccalauréat international en science de la santé at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. Following this, from 2002 to 2005, they specialized in finance corporative and obtained a B.A.A. degree from HEC Montréal. In 2005, Julien enrolled at McGill University and successfully completed their Bachelor of Civil Law and LL.B degree, majoring in commercial negotiation and dispute resolution until 2008. Julien then attended École du Barreau du Québec from 2009 to 2010, where they successfully completed the Programme de formation professionnelle. In 2017, Julien studied administration et gestion de l'informatique/technologies de l'information at HEC Montréal.

Additionally, in December 2022, Julien earned the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from PeopleCert.
