Emerson Silva

Emerson Silva has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. They began their career at CWT as a Network/IT Security Analyst, where they were responsible for planning and implementing IT network infrastructure. They then joined EMC as a Senior Technical Support Engineer, specializing in supporting hardware and software for high-volume storage solutions. After ten years at EMC, Emerson moved on to CrowdDoing, where they volunteered as a Tech Support & Big Data Volunteer. Currently, Emerson is working at ThinkOn Inc. as a Solutions Engineer, focusing on the Object Storage and Backup platforms. They provide support, troubleshooting, and problem analysis for different hardware and software components.

Emerson Silva's education history includes a postgraduate degree in Big Data Solution Architecture from Conestoga College, which was completed in 2021. In 2008 to 2009, they pursued a postgraduate degree in Computer and Information Systems Security from the Institute of Advanced Technology. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2006, Silva obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Analysis from UNIBTA - Centro Universitário.

In addition to their formal education, Silva has also obtained several certifications. These include Microsoft 365 Essential Training for Administrators and Microsoft Office 365: Administration (Office 365/Microsoft 365) from LinkedIn, obtained in March 2022. Emerson has also obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft, although the exact month of attainment is unknown.

Silva holds a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in 2020. In 2014, they earned the VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP5-DCV) certification from VMware. Silva also holds the Cloud Infrastructure and Services certification from EMC, obtained in 2013. In 2010, they obtained the ITIL V3 - Foundations Certification from EXIN, and more recently, in April 2022, they obtained the Fortinet Network Security Associate certification from Fortinet.
