Bowen Zhang is the Co-Founder and CEO of ThioTech and a silver medalist of the EuChemS European Young Chemists' Award. They are currently a Research Assistant at the University of Liverpool and previously served as an ICURe Entrepreneurial Lead for ThioTech. Bowen holds a Bachelor of Science in Polymer Chemistry from Northeast Forestry University, a Master of Science in Polymer Chemistry from The University of Manchester, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Liverpool. Their innovative work involves the development of sulfur-doped activated carbons for mercury sequestration and water purification, significantly outperforming conventional activated carbon in efficiency.
