Third Derivative
David Hynek is currently an associate at Third Derivative since June 2023. Prior to this, they were a NASA Space and Technology Research Fellow at Yale University from June 2017 to May 2023, where they conducted research on the synthesis and characterization of 2D transition metal ditellurides for low-dissipative electronics. Additionally, they worked as a graduate research assistant and graduate teaching assistant at Yale University, and as an undergraduate research assistant at Coe College. David holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science, a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Yale University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Physics and Mathematics from Coe College.
