Sophie Bessemer

Sophie Bessemer has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sophie started their career in 1994 as an Assistant Editor at New Holland Publishing and later worked as an Editor at KYLE CATHIE LIMITED. In 1999, Sophie took on the role of Commissioning Editor at Quarto Publishing, where they were responsible for conceiving and commissioning illustrated books.

In 2001, Sophie worked as a volunteer Project Manager at The Batemans Trust, managing educational projects and fundraising. Sophie then became a trustee for the trust for a period of 10 years.

From 2002 to 2015, Sophie worked at EdComs, where they held various positions including Account Director, Senior Account Director, Head of Strategic Communications, and Associate Director. During their time at EdComs, Sophie developed successful communication programs and managed teams to produce educational resources for clients from various sectors.

Lastly, Sophie worked at Third Space Learning as Head of Content & SEO, with responsibilities starting in January 2018. Prior to that, they held a Marketing role at Third Space Learning from May 2015.
