Abhishek Kulkarni

Abhishek Kulkarni has three years of experience in robotics and automation. In 2021, they began working as a Robotics Deployment Engineer 2 at Third Wave Automation. In 2020, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington, where they designed a method to use a Universal Robots’ UR5e to automatically inspect curved metallic parts, developed a novel Mesh Segmentation algorithm based on K-means clustering, set up a ROS and Gazebo environment for a couple of projects, and designed and 3D printed various complex components. In 2019, they worked as a Control Systems Modeling Intern at MicroVision Inc.

Abhishek Kulkarni obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University between 2013 and 2017. Abhishek then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington from 2018 to 2020. Abhishek also holds certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera (obtained in October 2019), Modern Robotics, Course 2: Robot Kinematics from Coursera (obtained in July 2018), Aerodynamics from edX, Control Engineering from NPTEL, and Industrial Automation and Control from NPTEL.
