Alan Berman

Alan Berman has worked in the software engineering field since 2015. In 2015, they began as a Software Developer Intern at SimplePay. In 2017, they took on the role of Teaching Assistant at the University of Cape Town, where they assisted the convenor of the introductory Computer Science course and managed 45 tutors. In 2018, they became a Lecturer at the University of Cape Town, lecturing the first half of the introductory Computer Science course and fostering problem-solving skills through Python. In 2019, they continued their role as Lecturer at the University of Cape Town, lecturing the first of two Advanced Software Design modules of a senior Computer Science course and assisting in the setting of theory tests and course material. In 2020, they became a Software Developer at Athium Limited. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer at Thirdfort Limited, where they are involved in fullstack development in Node.js, Go and React.
