Matt Lorenzen

Matt Lorenzen is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Matt is currently the Founder and COO of Thirdwave, a blockchain discovery engine connecting people with games, projects, and communities. Prior to that, they were the Founder and Managing Director of Zakari, a company dedicated to accelerating the transition to decentralized teams.

Matt also has a significant background in the gaming industry, having worked at Facebook as the Director of Innovation Hub, Global Gaming. In this role, they led a team of Vertical Strategy Leads and implemented strategies to drive growth across Facebook, Audience Network, and Instagram. Matt also served as an Industry Manager and Client Partner, where they managed relationships with top grossing app developers and exceeded sales targets.

Earlier in their career, Matt was the Managing Director at Altura Ventures, where they partnered with businesses to develop new products and increase user engagement. Matt also co-founded CrossLoop and served as the Director of User Experience, where they worked on developing a real-time peer-to-peer support community on the web.
