John Frierson has over 35 years of experience in the branding, licensing and business development industries. In 1985, they founded Frierson Mee + Partners, a brand strategy and creative boutique agency with offices in New York and Paris. Over the next two decades, the agency grew to over $100M in annual revenue and executed new brand launches and major marketing campaigns with $100M+ budgets primarily in the fashion, retail and lifestyle sector. In 2006, John joined Creative Artists Agency as an agent and founded the Lifestyle/Licensing Group, creating celebrity and designer brands for major retailers worldwide and generating over $3B in retail sales. In 2016, they were appointed President of Fred Segal, where they managed collaborated with dozens of global brands, concepted and hosted hundreds of events and retail programming, and guided the brand's renaissance. In 2021, they became President of The Novogratz, one of the fastest-growing brands in the design and lifestyle world. Finally, in 2022, John was appointed Head of Corporate Strategy at Thirteen Lune, the leading platform for beauty brands created by Black and Brown founders, and was voted NewComer of the Year in 2021 by Beauty Inc Awards.
John Frierson attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government.
