Kim Gillies

Kim Gillies is a seasoned software architect with extensive experience in the field of astronomy and astrophysics. Currently serving at the Thirty Meter Telescope Corporation since August 2010, Kim has previously held the position of Senior Software Engineer at the Space Telescope Science Institute from February 2008 to July 2010 and was the High Level Software Leader at Gemini Observatory from January 1995 to February 2008. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Astronomy and Physics and two Master's degrees—one in Astronomy and another in Computer Science—from the University of Iowa and the University of Arizona, respectively.
