Derek O'Connell currently serves as the COO of Advisory & Technology Services at Org Group since January 2023, after holding the position of Head of Org Technology Services & CTO at Abtran. Prior experience includes serving as VP IT for Enterprise Applications and Global Head of IT Delivery for Sales & Marketing at Johnson Controls from November 2014 to December 2022. Derek also worked at Trend Micro as a Program Director and EMEA Portfolio Lead from August 2009 to October 2014, and began his career at VHI as a Program Manager from June 2001 to August 2009. Derek holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from University College Cork, obtained between 1992 and 1996.
