Rudy McComb

Rudy McComb has over a decade of work experience in the technology industry. Rudy is the Founder and CEO of ThnkBIG Technologies since December 2009. In 2022, Rudy became an Organizer for DevOpsDays Austin but left in May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Bethesda Softworks from March 2018 to January 2023. Rudy also has experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer at CloudAware Federal from November 2017 to February 2018, and at AtomRain from April 2017 to November 2017. Before that, Rudy worked as a Senior OpenStack Operations Engineer at Mirantis from June 2015 to March 2017. Earlier in their career, they were an OpenStack Engineer / DevOps SysAdmin at Verifi Inc. from December 2014 to May 2015. Prior to that, they served as a Linux Systems Administrator and later as a Sr. Apple Systems Engineer at Harbor Freight Tools from October 2013 to December 2014 and from April 2013 to October 2013 respectively. Their experience also includes working as an Apple/iPad Engineer at Royal Caribbean International from July 2012 to September 2012, and as an Apple Systems Engineer at Patagonia from September 2011 to August 2012.

Rudy McComb completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Management Information Systems from Howard University between 2000 and 2004. Rudy also obtained another B.B.A. degree in Information Systems & Analysis from the same university during the same time period.

In addition to their degrees, Rudy McComb has obtained several certifications throughout their education and career. Rudy obtained the "Mastering the Cold Call" certification from Grant Cardone in January 2023. Rudy also holds the "AWS Essentials" and "AWS Concepts" certifications from Linux Academy, which they obtained in April and March 2017, respectively.
