Tom Gill is the President and founder of Thomas Engineering Group (TEG), established in January 2008, with a focus on high-quality service in transportation planning, design, and construction management. Under Tom Gill's leadership, TEG has developed a team of both young and experienced industry leaders, demonstrating success in growth through a commitment to service and professionalism, even during challenging economic times. Prior to TEG, Tom Gill served as Vice President at ESI Consultants, Ltd. and K-Plus Engineering, Ltd., and held the position of Resident Engineer at V3 Companies. Tom Gill holds a Bachelor's degree in General Engineering with a secondary focus in Engineering Marketing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Thomas Engineering Group (TEG) provides outstanding services in Phase I Planning, Phase II Design and Phase III Construction. TEG assists agencies in securing funding through targeted applications to secure sources such as ARRA, STP, CMAQ, HPP, CDBG and other funding sources. TEG maximizes projects with budget constraints and excels in construction program management responsibilities such as sidewalk, MFT, annual street resurfacing programs, street reconstruction, bridge inspection, watermain projects, storm sewer projects utility coordination, permit reviews and private development oversight. Our Transportation Department is well-versed in simple to complex Phase I reports, environmental studies and context sensitive solutions ranging from intersection signalization and widenings to interchange reconstruction, access justification reports (AJR's), feasibility studies, drainage studies, route planning, estimating, Traffic Impact Studies (TIS), Roundabout design, sustainability and expert geometric and operations consultation. We prepare plans, specification and estimates for projects ranging from local roads and streets resurfacing to major arterial reconstruction. TEG has worked with the Federal Highway Administration, IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Kane County, DuPage County, Chicago, West Chicago, Wheaton, Lombard, Woodridge, Oak Park, Westmont, Hoffman Estates, Riverside, Fox Lake, Indian Head Park, Burr Ridge, and other municipalities on infrastructure projects.
