Jeff Schmitt

Jeff Schmitt has over 20 years of work experience in finance and accounting roles. Jeff started their career at American Financial Group, where they worked in the Tax Department, preparing federal income tax returns and managing employee relocation reimbursement. Jeff then moved on to Barnes Dennig, a public accounting firm, where they served as a Senior Manager and Team Leader, overseeing a team of professionals dedicated to accounting, auditing, tax, and business advisory services. After leaving Barnes Dennig, Schmitt held roles at Grote Enterprises, LLC, serving as the Corporate Controller and later as the Treasurer, Chief Accounting Officer, and Corporate Controller. Jeff also held positions at Thomas J. Dyer Company and CINFAB, where they served as Secretary, Treasurer, and CFO. Throughout their career, Schmitt has gained extensive experience in various sectors, including nonprofits, construction/real estate, and employee retirement plans.

Jeff Schmitt attended the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting. Jeff has also obtained additional certifications, including Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Construction Document Specialist (CDS), and Construction Industry Technician (CIT).
