James Bishop has over 30 years of work experience, starting with their time in the US Navy as an E3 BMSN from 1987 to 1989. James then transitioned to the mortgage industry, working at Mission Hills Mortgage from 1989 to 2005, where they held various roles including Loan Officer, Operations Manager, and Branch Manager. In 2005, they moved to DHI Mortgage as a Branch Manager and managed a team of origination and operations staff. In 2007, James joined Shea Mortgage as a Vice President/Branch Manager and held that position until 2023. Currently, James serves as the Director of Corporate Transactions at Thomas James Homes.

James Bishop attended the University of Washington from 1985 to 1987. Prior to that, from 1983 to 1985, they went to Port Angeles High School and obtained a degree in General Studies. James started their high school education at W.T. White High School from 1981 to 1983, also majoring in General Studies. James also holds a California DRE Licensed Real Estate Salesperson certification from the California Bureau of Real Estate.
