Ty'Leik Chambers

Ty'Leik Chambers has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Ty'Leik started their career as an Orientation Leader at the University of Virginia in May 2020 and later became a Residential Advisor, where they advised and supported residents. Ty'Leik also served as a Head Counselor at Upward Bound, overseeing program management and coordination.

In 2018, Ty'Leik began working as a Student at the University of Virginia while simultaneously serving as a Senior Residential Advisor for Metcalf/Lefevre Dormitories. In this role, they supervised Resident Advisors, organized programs, managed budgets, and engaged residents in university life.

Ty'Leik's involvement with the University of Virginia continued as they became an Assistant to the Associate Director of Community Initiatives at Virginia Humanities in September 2021. In this position, they supported the associate director in various community initiatives.

Ty'Leik then transitioned to the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, where they worked as the DEAI Analyst from October 2022 to March 2023. In this role, Ty'Leik conducted research, surveys, and analyses, compiled and organized data, and provided advice on policy and program creation.

Currently, Ty'Leik is employed as a Community Outreach Coordinator at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation. In this role, they assist with community and fundraising programs, ensuring smooth event flow and participant engagement.

Ty'Leik Chambers attended the University of Virginia from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in African-American/Black Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Prior to their time at the University of Virginia, they attended the Governor's School of Southside Virginia from 2016 to 2018, earning an Associate of Arts - AA degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies. In addition to their formal education, Ty'Leik obtained several certifications, including a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in December 2022, a Learning Infographic Design certification from LinkedIn in December 2022, a UX Foundations: Accessibility certification from LinkedIn in December 2022, and a Statistics Foundations: Using Data Sets certification from LinkedIn in July 2022.
