James A. Goodyear, MD, FACS has extensive experience in the medical field, beginning in 1980 as a licensed physician and board-certified general surgeon. James A. has worked as an independent consultant, providing consultation and education services. Dr. Goodyear also served as the Director and Founder of the North Penn Hernia Institute, starting in 1995. James A. was the Director of Ambulatory Surgical Services at Abington Health, Lansdale Hospital, and worked as a board-certified general surgeon until 2012. Additionally, Dr. Goodyear held leadership positions in professional organizations, including serving as the President of the Pennsylvania Medical Society from 2009 to 2010 and as the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County (PA) Medical Society. James A. was a member of the Governing Council of the AMA-Organized Medical Staff Section from 2006 to 2012.

James A. Goodyear, MD, FACS completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy from Temple University School of Pharmacy in 1971. James A. then pursued further education at Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine from 1971 to 1975, where they earned their degree in Medicine, MD.
