Monica Young has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Monica started their career in 1999 as a PCM Perioperative Services at Main Line Health, Lankenau Hospital. In 2007, they joined Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Methodist Division as the Director of Nursing Operations. Monica then transitioned to the role of Senior Clinical Director Perioperative Services at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in 2011. Currently, Monica holds the position of Vice President Perioperative Services at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals.

Monica Young has a Master's in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph's University. Monica also holds a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Jefferson Health. In addition, Monica has an MBA in Business from Villanova University. Monica has obtained several certifications including CASC from the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification (BASC), Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) from the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI), Certified Professional in Patient Safety from the Certified Board for Professional Safety, Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) from the American College of Healthcare Executives, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) from Villanova University, and Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
