Andrea Eckhart

Andrea Eckhart serves as VP of Medical and Scientific Services at Ashfield MedComms, an Inizio Company, since January 2021, leading a team to create impactful communications that enhance understanding of scientific advancements across diverse audiences. In parallel, since September 2003, Andrea has held the position of Group Scientific Director and Adjunct Associate Professor at Thomas Jefferson University, focusing on the molecular mechanisms of hypertension and heart failure, while also contributing to pharmaceutical consultancies and securing significant federal and private research funding. Prior roles include senior and associate director positions in various organizations, where Andrea excelled in strategic project management, client relationships, and scientific communication, alongside an impressive academic background with a PhD in Molecular Cardiovascular Physiology from UNC School of Medicine and a postdoctoral fellowship from Duke University.
