Howard Eisen

Howard Eisen currently serves as the Director of Research at the Jefferson Heart Institute at Thomas Jefferson University, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this role, Howard Eisen was the Medical Director of the Advanced Heart Failure Program at Penn State Hershey Milton S Hershey Medical Center from April 2018 to April 2023. Between January 2005 and April 2018, Howard Eisen was the Chief of the Division of Cardiology at Drexel University College of Medicine, and from August 1993 to December 2004, the Medical Director of the Cardiac Transplant Program at Temple University. Earlier in his career, Howard Eisen also served as the Medical Director of the Cardiac Transplant Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine from June 1987 to August 1993. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, an Internal Medicine Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Hospital, alongside an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Cornell University.
