Joel Ruffin

Joel Ruffin, Sr. currently serves as the Director and Global Head of BBPLC Technology & Cyber Resilience at Barclays Bank PLC since April 2023. In addition, Joel holds positions as an Adjunct Professor at both Thomas Jefferson University and Drexel University since January 2021 and January 2019, respectively. Prior experience includes a 23-year tenure at Goldman Sachs, where Joel advanced through various leadership roles, ultimately reaching Senior Vice President in Core Engineering and Engineering Management & Strategy. Earlier in Joel's career, managerial experience was gained at Stanford Research Institute as Manager of Enterprise Systems & Networking Engineering. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Information Knowledge and Strategy from Columbia University, a Master of Science in Cyber Security from New York University, and a Bachelor of Science in General Studies/Computer Science from Drexel University.
