Mark Odom

Mark Odom has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and technology. Mark most recently worked as the Vice President CTO & CISO at Thomas Jefferson University, starting in December 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Information Security Officer at Health Partners Plans from March 2022 to January 2024. From November 2019 to January 2024, they worked as the Enterprise Vice President & CISO, IT Executive for North Region at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. Before transitioning into the healthcare industry, Mark worked at Deloitte as a Senior Manager and Manager in Risk Advisory Services from August 2015 to November 2019. Mark also served as a Board of Director-Member at Large at Arkansas HIMSS from July 2014 to May 2015. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Vice President & CIO at St. Bernards Healthcare, Director of IT and Security at Lubbock Heart Hospital, and Information Security Officer/Business Continuity Officer at Ozarks Medical Center. Mark started their career at Bay Creek Inc., where they worked as the Vice President from May 1993 to October 2009.

Mark Odom holds a Master's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance, which they obtained from Missouri State University between 2011 and 2013. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Business Administration from Kaplan University, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General, from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, Mark has obtained several certifications, including CCSFP from HITRUST Alliance LLC in 2016, HITRUST from HITRUST Alliance in 2016, CISSP from ISC2 in 2011, CCNA and CCNA SECURITY from Cisco in 2009, and a Pilots License from FAA in 1997.
