Tom Schrand

Tom Schrand serves as the Associate Dean for General Education at Thomas Jefferson University since August 2014, spearheading the Hallmarks Program, which encompasses the university’s general education and e-portfolio initiatives. Schrand's responsibilities include coordinating undergraduate programs, managing the Pathbrite e-portfolio platform, supervising faculty, and leading ongoing faculty development. Additionally, Schrand has been affiliated with Philadelphia University since 1994, holding various roles including Associate Academic Dean for College Studies and Professor of History, where responsibilities encompassed managing the general education curriculum, initiating new programs, and supervising faculty. An accomplished educator, Schrand holds a Ph.D. in History and has completed yoga instructor training, reflecting a diverse skill set in administration, curriculum development, and faculty leadership.
