Martin Pates

Martin Pates has worked in various finance roles throughout their career. Martin started their career at KPMG as an Audit Assistant and eventually became an Assistant Audit Manager. In 2001, they joined Sporting Group as an Assistant Group Financial Controller and later held the positions of Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller, and Finance Director. During their time at Sporting Group, Martin was responsible for the strategy and performance of the finance function, including areas such as credit, fraud, business intelligence, and M&A. In 2019, Martin joined Thomas Murray as the Chief Financial Officer, where they provide risk analytics, software, ratings, and advisory services to capital market participants in the post trade space.

Martin Pates attended the University of Nottingham from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Management.
