Imhotep Simba is currently serving as a Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellow with the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program as of November 2023. Previously, Imhotep worked as a Program Associate for the Juvenile Justice Strategy Group at the Annie E. Casey Foundation from June 2022 to August 2024. Prior to this, Imhotep held various roles at DAI between October 2019 and June 2022, including Operations Analyst and Project Associate across multiple USAID initiatives in Haiti, Uganda, and Zambia. Imhotep's experience also includes serving as an Urban Youth Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps from May 2017 to August 2019, and as Program Manager for the CBM CARES® National Mentoring Initiative at Concerned Black Men National from June 2015 to May 2017. Imhotep earned a Bachelor's Degree in Global Studies from Coppin State University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Global Human Development at Georgetown University, expected to finish in May 2026.
