Shawn Brown

VP of Child Welfare at Thompson Child & Family Focus, Inc.

Vice President of Child Welfare, Shawn Brown joined Thompson in August 2021. Shawn’s role is to lead a group of leaders and programs providing basic, respite, therapeutic, and TFC-O Foster Care services throughout North Carolina, and the Teen Case Management program in Tampa, FL.

Shawn’s 20+ years of experience included director of boy’s group home and several leadership positions in Georgia – all within government and private administration in child welfare and human services. Shawn earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counseling and his Master’s degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling at the Jacksonville Theological Seminary.

Shawn’s “why” is fueled by having a deep sense of calling to raise up leaders with high-performance teams, deliver life-changing services to children and families that empowers positive changes in their lives so they will live out their life purpose and leave a legacy for future generations.
