Steve Mitchell

Steve Mitchell has extensive experience in public finance and legal matters, currently serving as a Partner and Co-Chair of the Public Finance and Public Law Practice Group at Thompson Coburn LLP since August 1992. In this role, Steve Mitchell provides representation as bond counsel, issuer’s counsel, lender's counsel, credit enhancer’s counsel, and underwriter’s counsel. Prior to this position, Steve Mitchell worked as an Associate for the City of Overland Park, Kansas, from 1991 to 1992 and gained legal experience as a Law Clerk. Steve Mitchell holds a Juris Doctor degree, with distinction, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law (1989-1992) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Southwest Baptist University (1984-1987).
