Abbey Butcher is an experienced interior design professional currently serving as the Interior Design Manager at Thompson Thrift since October 2022. Prior roles include Design Coordinator at Fischer Homes from March 2021 to October 2022 and Real Estate Agent at Highgarden Real Estate between September 2020 and October 2022. Abbey’s career began with a Junior Stylist position at Elephant In The Room Home Staging & Redesign in late 2020 and a Junior Designer Internship at Whimsily Interiors in summer 2020. Previous experience also includes working as an Event Producer & Floralist at Empyrean Events & Catering from May 2015 to August 2018, and as a Design Intern at Jack Laurie Group in 2017. Abbey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Indiana University Bloomington, graduated in 2020.

John Thompson and Paul Thrift began laying plans for their business partnership while attending Indiana State University. Those plans came to fruition in 1986 with the founding of Thompson Thrift. Since that time, Thompson Thrift has grown from a locally focused development and construction company into an integrated, full-service real estate company with a national scope.
