Matt Wuertz is an accomplished software development leader with extensive experience across multiple companies in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Software Development at Thompson Thrift since March 2024, Matt is the first to hold this position, overseeing third-party contractors and leveraging tools such as Power BI and SQL Server. Previously, as Vice President of Engineering at Anvl, Matt partnered closely with the CEO to drive company strategy and improve deployment processes. Other significant roles include Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Ironclad, Director of Engineering at PactSafe, and Director of IT at Fuzion, where Matt was responsible for managing teams, guiding technical strategies, and ensuring alignment with business needs. A graduate of Purdue University with a BS in Computer Science, Matt has built a strong career focused on engineering leadership, team development, and innovative software solutions.

Thompson Thrift is an integrated full-service real estate company with offices in Indianapolis and Terre Haute, Indiana, Houston, Texas, Phoenix, Arizona and Denver, Colorado. Three business units drive Thompson Thrift’s success—Thompson Thrift Residential, focused on upscale apartment home communities and luxury leased homes; Thompson Thrift Commercial, focused on ground-up mixed-use and retail development and leasing; and Thompson Thrift Construction (TTC), a full-service construction company. John Thompson and Paul Thrift began laying plans for their business partnership while attending Indiana State University. Those plans came to fruition in 1986 with the founding of Thompson Thrift. Since that time, Thompson Thrift has grown from a locally focused development and construction company into an integrated, full-service real estate company with a national scope.
