Douglas Erickson

Douglas Erickson has a diverse work experience primarily in the field of software engineering. Douglas is currently employed as a Lead Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters, where they work on Customer Identity and Access Management. Their responsibilities include designing, developing, and providing operational support for authentication applications, leveraging Auth0 PAAS and custom REST API. Douglas is also involved in platform and user migration strategies.

Prior to their current role, Douglas worked for Thomson Reuters for a significant period of time. From 2005 to 2020, they held various positions, including Lead Software Engineer. In these roles, they contributed to projects such as OnePass, Drafting Assistant, Data room, Public records service, SWAT, and Events. Their responsibilities ranged from designing and developing REST APIs, implementing user interfaces, to providing support and improving code. Notably, they gained expertise in languages and tools such as Perl, Python, C#, MS SQL, Java, UML, Lucid, Lucid Chart, and OpenOffice.

Douglas Erickson completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and Economics from St. Olaf College between 1985 and 1989. Douglas then pursued further education at the University of Minnesota, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from 1992 to 1996. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota between 1999 and 2003.
