Matthew Wanner

Matthew Wanner is an experienced leader in machine learning and applied research, currently serving as the Director of Machine Learning & Applied Research at Thomson Reuters since April 2022. In this role, Matthew drives technology strategy and product vision to develop AI tools that enhance legal technology and improve accessibility. Prior to this, Matthew held various positions at Thomson Reuters, including Director of ML Product and Senior Technical Product Manager, playing key roles in building AI-powered legal technology products. Matthew's earlier experience includes significant roles at ThoughtTrace, where contributions focused on data science and product analytics, and internships at Baywater Drilling, The Mundy Companies, and Tomball Regional Medical Center, where foundational engineering and data management skills were developed. Matthew Wanner holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Texas A&M University, complemented by international education experiences.
