Scott Buchter

Scott Buchter is the Founder and CTO at Thor Dynamics, where they direct efforts in developing directed energy systems since 2024. They have extensive experience in leadership roles, including serving as Chairman of the Board at J3 Group since 2019 and holding advisory positions at RIGAKU AMERICAS CORPORATION and NKT Photonics. Previously, Scott worked as a Research Scientist at CREOL, The College of Optics & Photonics, and held several technical roles, including Senior System Architect at Nokia Networks and Associate Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Additionally, Scott is a co-founder of multiple companies, including Lasersec Systems Corporation and UVC Photonics, which focus on advanced laser systems. They continue their education at the University of Central Florida.
