Lennart Lundblad

Director of Clinical Science at Thorasys

Lennart Lundblad is the current Director of Clinical Science at Thorasys. Lennart has over 30 years of experience in the medical field, with a focus on research and development. Lennart began their career in 1987 as a Research Associate at Draco AB, which later became AstraZeneca Plc. Lennart was promoted to Research Scientist in 1993 and Pre-clinical Project Manager in 1996. During their time at AstraZeneca, they were also a lecturer and Research Associate at the Department of Animal Physiology at Lund University, where they mentored students. Lennart was involved in numerous drug-oriented projects that required physiology skills. Lennart also played a role in the development of allergic mouse models for asthma and was responsible for establishing a research group that used a model of allergic asthma in sheep. In 2000, they served on the Site Management Committee at the AstraZeneca Lund site and was also a member of the AstraZeneca AB board.

Lennart Lundblad received their Ph.D. in Experimental Clinical Physiology from Lund University. Lennart also studied High School at Hässleholms Tekniska Skola, Västerskolan, and Brogatsskolan.
