Lucinda Candal

Co-Head of Sales & Marketing Enablement & MD at Thornburg Investment Management

Lucinda Candal is chief of staff for Thornburg Investment Management. She joined the firm in 2020 as a client service specialist and that same year was promoted to advisor solutions consultant and team lead and then director of internal sales in 2022. She was named chief of staff in 2023 in support of Thornburg's CEO, Jason Brady. Before joining Thornburg, Lucinda was an advisor associate at Waddell & Reed and held positions in retail banking and management. She also taught English as a Second Language to business and financial professionals in China, South Korea, and Brazil.

Raised in New Zealand, Lucinda received her BA with honors in English from the University of Auckland. She is registered with FINRA with a Series 7, 66, and 24.

Lucinda resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with her husband George. In her spare time, she is an avid runner and marathoner and also enjoys hiking, mountain biking, skiing and other outdoor pursuits with her husband and their dogs.
