Glen Stone has an extensive work experience in the software development field. Glen began their career in 1998 as a Consultant/Developer at Descisys, where they developed and supported the "AIMS" system using Java and C++. Glen also collaborated on the design and development of a data-entry and reporting application using ASP and VBScript.
In 2004, Glen joined Information Edge as a Senior Consultant/Developer, where they worked on designing and developing a next-generation multi-dimensional database client and server using .NET technologies.
In 2011, Glen moved to Blueprint Software Systems, starting as a Senior Developer and later taking on the roles of Team Lead and Front-end Architect. Glen worked on developing and maintaining the Blueprint Silverlight 5 client using C# and advanced .NET features. Glen also guided the design and development of new features, encouraged consistency and reusability, and introduced automated testing infrastructure.
From 2019 to 2021, Glen worked as a Software Architect at Upchain, where they designed, developed, and maintained CAD plugins and Office add-ins. Glen also worked with a remote development team to introduce best practices and reduce regressions and performance degradation.
In 2021, Glen joined Autodesk as a Software Development Engineer, where they designed, developed, and maintained CAD plugins and Office add-ins aligned with Autodesk standards. Glen also worked with remote development teams to improve code quality.
Currently, Glen is working as a Senior Software Developer at Thornhill Medical.
Glen Stone obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science from The Australian National University, where they were enrolled from 1996 to 1999. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft in April 2005.
