Thornton Fractional High School District 215
Therese Pecora has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Teacher and Girls Track & Field Head Coach at Thornton Fractional High School District 215 since 2011. Prior to this, Therese worked as a Teacher at Matteson School District 162 from 2004 to 2011 and completed a Student Teacher role at St. Cajetan's Elementary School in 2003-2004, focusing on sixth grade math and science. Therese holds a Master of Education (MEd) as a Reading Specialist and another MEd in Elementary K-9 from Saint Xavier University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications & Public Relations from Illinois State University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Illinois Central College.

Thornton Fractional Township High School District 215 is located in south suburban Cook County and serves 3,500+ students from Burnham, Calumet City, Lansing, and Lynwood, which collectively have more than 80,000 residents. The district serves students in grades 9 through 12 and is comprised of two public comprehensive high schools - Thornton Fractional North (TF North) and Thornton Fractional South (TF South) – as well as Thornton Fractional Center for Academics & Technology (TF Center) and Thornton Fractional Center for Alternative Learning (TF CAL).
