Baktosch Gillan

Baktosch Gillan is a Commercial Litigation Solicitor at Thorntons Law LLP, a position held since March 2021, following the role of Trainee Solicitor. Prior experience includes working in Media Relations, Communications, and Marketing at The Scottish Parliament from September 2019 to March 2021, and serving in Judicial Media and Communications at the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service from May 2014 to September 2019. Baktosch also has a background in journalism, having worked as an Editor for Scottish Legal News and as a Journalist for the Scottish News Agency from June 2006 to May 2014. Baktosch holds a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Robert Gordon University, completing the latter in 2014, and attended the University of the Arts London in 2006.
