Christopher Dunkers has a diverse work experience starting in 2011 as an intern at Bayer HealthCare, where they provided English support, conducted small engineering projects, and gained an understanding of plant operations. In 2012, they worked as a co-op at RPA Engineering, followed by an internship in 2013, where they learned about controls and automation and visited client facilities. From 2014 to 2015, Christopher worked at RAIL Lab - WPI as an intern, focusing on integrating ROS into a Segway RMP Platform. Christopher then joined Carnegie Robotics in 2015 as a software intern and later became a software engineer in 2016. In this role, they worked on developing and testing the autonomy stack for an autonomous floor scrubbing robot and led the technical aspects of the project in collaboration with Nilfisk. Christopher currently holds the position of Head of Software at Thoro.ai, starting in October 2021.

Christopher Dunkers completed their education with a Master's degree in Robotics Systems Development from Carnegie Mellon University, which they pursued from 2014 to 2015. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, specializing in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering as minors. Christopher pursued their undergraduate studies from 2010 to 2014. Before entering university, Christopher Dunkers completed their High School/Secondary education, attaining an IB Diploma from the International School of Basel between 2005 and 2010.
