Clare Daniels

Clare Daniels is a seasoned professional in sports officiating and training, currently serving as the TB-ed Operations Executive at The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association since September 2022. With extensive experience at the Rugby Football Union since 2005, Clare has held roles as a Professional Game Match Official, contributing to various prestigious competitions, and has a strong background in training and development for match officials at multiple levels. Notably, Clare is a former female Test Referee, having officiated 34 Women's Tests, including key tournaments like the Women’s Six Nations and World Cups. Since 2016, Clare has also been a Performance Reviewer and Selector for World Rugby, specializing in high-performance match officials for the Women's World 7s Series and managing elite officials at international events. Prior roles include Learning Coordination and Delivery at Avon Fire & Rescue Service and training at the World Academy of Sport. Clare holds an MSC in Performance Enhancement of Sports Officials from Edinburgh Napier University.
