Dimitar Pavlov

Dimitar Pavlov is a Principal Engineer at Thought Machine since June 2016, specializing in distributed systems with expertise in Python, Go, Kubernetes, Kafka, gRPC, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, and Istio. Prior to this role, Dimitar served as Tech Lead Manager and Senior Software Engineer at BBC from February 2014 to June 2016, contributing to the development of the BBC's cloud platform that empowers development teams with infrastructure ownership and continuous delivery capabilities. Dimitar began the career as a Junior Software Engineer at BBC and completed a Junior Software Engineer placement at Goldman Sachs, focusing on a large-scale project in Commodities technology. Dimitar holds a Master's degree in Advanced Computing from Imperial College London and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from King's College London.
