Karl Brown

Karl Brown is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in leveraging information and communication technology for social change. As a Technical Principal at Thoughtworks since December 2014, Karl has played a pivotal role in guiding technological innovations. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Technology at The Rockefeller Foundation, focusing on ICTs in health and education in Africa, and as Chair of the Partnership Board for the mHealth Alliance, a UN-hosted initiative aimed at enhancing mobile health efforts in low to middle-income countries. Additional roles include consulting for the Peace Corps, interning at the Earth Institute and the UN, and serving as Chief Technology Officer for Ghana New Ventures Competition Inc. Karl's educational background includes a BS in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
