Jenesha D.

Jenesha D. is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Finance at Thousand Currents since January 2017, Jenesha supports initiatives focused on climate, food, and economic justice. Previously, Jenesha held the position of Director of Finance & Administration at Tides from May 2011 to August 2015, managing financial services for over 160 projects, and led teams to enhance financial processes. Other notable roles include Project Accountant at Tides, overseeing financial services for over 80 charitable projects, and various leadership positions at organizations such as the Buddhist Peace Fellowship, Audre Lorde Project, and GLSEN. Jenesha holds a B.S. in Biology from Stony Brook University and an MFA in Creative Writing & English from Mills College.
